The role
Ground support equipment is what turns a parked aircraft into a departing one. Tugs, belt loaders, ground power units, air start units, steps. You keep them serviceable.
What you will do
- Carry out preventive maintenance on GSE to manufacturer schedules
- Diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
- Maintain baggage handling and conveyor equipment
- Keep accurate service records for every unit
- Respond to breakdowns during operational hours
- Flag unsafe equipment and remove it from service
What you need
- 2+ years maintaining heavy vehicles, plant or industrial equipment
- Practical diesel engine and hydraulic system diagnostics
- Able to read hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Valid driving licence
- Willing to work rotating shifts
Nice to have
- Prior GSE or airside experience
- Welding or fabrication capability
- Forklift or specialised equipment certification
